Our next coffee morning is:

9:30am BST | 8 August 2023

Topic: Cultural Bridge Year 3 Funding

Our next guest contributors are:

Lorna Palmer (Arts Council England)

At our next online coffee morning, we’re joined by Lorna Palmer (Lead for Cultural Bridge international funding programme at Arts Council England) as we explore the Cultural Bridge Year 3 (2024-25) Funding Opportunities.

Cultural Bridge celebrates bilateral artistic partnerships between the UK and Germany through the collaboration between Arts Council England, the Arts Council of Northern Ireland, British Council, Creative Scotland, Fonds Soziokultur, Goethe-Institut London and Wales Arts International / Arts Council of Wales.

The programme supports intercultural exchange and dialogue in the field of participative arts and culture. Since launching in 2021, it has so far enabled 44 organisations that place communities at the heart of their work, to build and develop new partnerships that allow exploration and exchange of practice between Germany and the UK.

Lorna will talk through the programme ahead of the fund reopening in October for the 2024-2025 programme, and the planned match making session in September.  There will be an opportunity to hear about previous projects and ask questions about the programme.  It would be beneficial to look at the published guidance first, which can be fund here along with details of how to register for the matchmaking session.

Open to all artforms, our monthly online coffee mornings can connect you with other UK-based artists and creative organisations to share cross border working challenges, plans and ambitions. Each session will feature contributions from partners and networks we work with to share current insights and key updates around international mobility.

The coffee mornings usually take place online every first Tuesday of the month between 09:30-10:30am GMT.

Session agendas are shaped by what you and our speaker bring to the day: whether it be administration for exhibitions or productions; supporting artists to come across borders with new immigration rules; or simply joining to connect with others facing similar challenges. Our aim is to create an informal, supportive network of internationally focused peers.

Automatic closed captioning is available during the sessions.
