Who we are

We are a partnership of members from each of the UK’s Arts Councils:
Arts Council England
Arts Council of Northern Ireland
Creative Scotland
and led by  Arts Council of Wales /  Wales Arts International.

We are also part of a network of Mobility Information Points across Europe and the USA, and members of the On The Move mobility network. We work closely with these specialist organisations as well as our international contacts by sharing information, resources, and best practice on artist mobility between countries.

What we do

Arts Infopoint UK is a pilot initiative developing resources to support international artists visiting the UK for creative work and purposes. We offer free, practical information and support to help artists, creative professionals, and organisations to understand the rules and guide you through some of the administration requirements for creative visits to the UK.

We guide and support the continuation of international collaboration, opportunities, and experiences in the cultural sectors. We act as a central point for practical information and resources.

We provide information and guidance to:

  • international artists and companies coming to the UK
  • UK venues and companies who want to invite and host international creative visitors

This might mean visiting the UK as a group, company, or individual to take part in:

  • festivals
  • performances or tours
  • residencies
  • showcases
  • networking events or conferences

As well as providing information, we want to understand the challenges facing international artists and UK inviting companies, to make sure we are offering the right kind of support and to help us advocate on behalf of the arts sector where we can. We do this through asking for feedback when we talk to the sector, when we host events, and when we engage with stakeholders.

As a pilot initiative, our range of resources is consistently growing. We can also help by sharing relevant resources from external organisations, including information for UK-based creatives working internationally.
