Although our focus is on providing information for international artists coming to the UK, we also understand the need for information by UK-based creative professionals planning an international visit for work.

We have hosted and recorded webinars to help provide information and clarity for those leaving the UK for creative visits. You can find these on our ‘Webinars’ page below.

There is a network of organisations with international expertise who provide information and develop resources on international mobility, and we signpost to these resources where relevant.

We are part of a network of cultural mobility information points as members of On The Move. These organisations are mostly based in Europe and the US and can support you in finding more information when planning a creative visit to these areas. You can find more information on the network of cultural mobility information points on our ‘Information Points Across The Globe’ page below.

The focus of our outgoing mobility resources are primarily around creative visits to the EU. Freedom of movement between the UK and the EU no longer applies and the UK is now considered a ‘third country’ by the EU. UK nationals must now consider and apply the rules of the individual countries you are visiting for work, as well as Schengen rules depending on the nature of your visit. You can find more information on creative visits to Europe on our ‘Creative Visits to Europe’ page below. The resources available on the pages below are not a complete list that will guarantee your international visit, but they will help you navigate the information you need to consider when planning to leave the UK for an international creative visit.

Each resource has been colour coded and tagged:

White: Official Guidance
These resources will always link to the official information on the UK Government website or UK Government departmental sites such as the Home Office.

Teal: Our Resources
These are resources that we have developed to help bring information together on mobility topics, such as our Visa Guide and webinars.

Light Blue: External Resource
These resources have been developed by leading organisations with international expertise.
