During our April Coffee Morning Matthew Covey and Mars Dietz from Tamizdat joined us to discuss touring in America. Tamizdat is a nonprofit organisation facilitating and advocating for international cultural mobility and exchange and is one of several Mobility Information Points.
The resource is useful for any artists and organisations in the performing arts arranging a tour of America but may have concerns given the number of administrative changes to immigration and border control impacting visitors to America, as highlighted in the media.
The resource shouldn’t be considered as immigration advice, more a helpful conversation that could help any musicians, artists and organisations in the performing arts planning a tour to America. It covers some of the immigration information including types of visa and the current climate and impact on artists including considering any risk management.
