Do you host, or are you planning to host, international artists in the UK on a temporary short-term basis? Come along to our next online coffee morning to share with peers your experiences, plans and the challenges related to being a host organisation, or to find out more about the Permitted Paid Engagement and Temporary Work Creative Worker Concession visa routes.

If you’re inviting international artists to the UK, it is likely that you’re considering the Permitted Paid Engagement (PPE) visa route. Or if you are a sponsor, some artists can take advantage of the Temporary Work - Creative Worker concession visa. Since the UK left the EU, UK organisations hosting international artists will have used these immigration routes more frequently, and we will be reflecting on how this is working in practice at this coffee morning.

The session is an opportunity to exchange your experiences with these visa routes, and aims to encourage peer learning and knowledge exchange, as well as raising confidence! We'll be exploring the topic in both an informative and practical way, as we're joined by a representative of immigration law practice Latitude Law, and a cultural sector representative with experience.

Lissy Lovett is the Executive Director at Mimbre, a female-led producing company who create acrobatic theatre in outdoor and unusual settings, who tour internationally and often work with international artists by hosting them in the UK. Lissy will be sharing their experience of the application process to become an official Home Office registered sponsor, as well as experience of using the Permitted Paid Engagement (PPE) route and plans to invite international artists using temporary short term visa routes in the coming months. We welcome attendees to also share your experiences and plans in relation to these visa routes during the session.

Register for the Arts Infopoint UK online Coffee Mornings here

Open to all artforms, our monthly online coffee mornings can connect you with other UK-based artists and creative organisations to share cross border working challenges, plans and ambitions. Each session will feature contributions from partners and networks we work with to share current insights and key updates around international mobility.

The coffee mornings usually take place online every first Tuesday of the month between 09:30-10:30am.

Session agendas are shaped by what you and our speaker bring to the day: whether it be administration for exhibitions or productions; supporting artists to come across borders with new immigration rules; or simply joining to connect with others facing similar challenges. Our aim is to create an informal, supportive network of internationally focused peers.

Automatic closed captioning is available during the sessions.
